OVERVIEW:

Lumin Consulting, under the remit of the UWI consortium, led the implementation of the renowned Caribbean Mobile Innovation Project. The project’s chief aim was strengthening the Caribbean mobile innovation ecosystem and enabling sustainable and competitive growth to mobile enterprises. InfoDev, with the invaluable assistance of select partners, designed and implemented various local and regional activities that targeted early stage innovators and guided them to market readiness. The project created a regional pool of high-growth potential mobile startups with the capacity to release their apps to the market and raise additional capital for their growth.

KEY RESULTS:

  • Successful innovators were funded and given the opportunity to develop their product/services;

  • A range of entrepreneurial and innovation training were provided to several entrepreneurs and start-ups;

  • Seed financing, community development and incubation services were provided and developed.
